Fossil Force Tier List

Fossil Force tier lists: loadout, dinosaur threat, weapon, and extraction-timing rankings built on the confirmed playstyle, clearly labeled pre-launch.

Last updated:

A tier list for an unreleased game is necessarily a framework, not a verdict. Fossil Force has not shipped, so no weapon stats, perk numbers, dinosaur rosters, or resource values are confirmed. What this wiki can rank honestly is build and threat roles — graded by how well they fit the confirmed design: a Jurassic PvE extraction shooter where dinosaurs hunt by sound and sight, and extraction is the win. Every list on this page is labeled pre-launch and will be replaced with live data after release.

The master ranking: what actually wins

Across every list, one pattern holds — quiet survival beats aggression, and safe yield beats raw yield:

S
Quiet Survival loadout — max hearing, min noiseEarly safe extractions — bank progress every runCalm-biome farming — extract reliably, then scale
A
Mobile Evader — mobility for the open tundraThreshold extraction — greed with guardrailsQuick Hide + Sprint Recovery perks
B
Balanced Gatherer — for accounts that already extractMid-run pushes past your threshold
C
Aggressive combat builds — misaligned with PvELate greedy extractions — the classic full loss

The individual tier lists

Each list has its own page with the reasoning:

  • Best loadout — the survival-first kit: quiet + hearing anchor, carry second, utility last.
  • Best perks — Quiet Step and Keen Hearing in S tier, with three build recipes.
  • Weapon tier list — weapon roles only, because no weapon names or stats are confirmed.
  • Dinosaur threat tiers — apex hunters, chasers, moderate threats, and foragers by behavior class.
  • Best biome for resources — safe yield versus raw yield across the jungle and tundra.

How to read these tiers

Tiers rank "expected value for a typical player," not paper strength:

  • S means the most reliable account progress — the choices that compound.
  • A means strong with a specific enabler (a biome, a playstyle, a squad).
  • B means good once the fundamentals are funded.
  • C means high variance or misaligned with how Fossil Force rewards players.

The same philosophy drives every list on this wiki: a small haul banked beats a big haul lost, and the quietest player in the biome chooses when fights happen.

What will change at launch

Everything here is honest strategy, not data. At launch, the rankings get rebuilt from three inputs:

  1. Real dinosaur stats and behavior from live runs — the dinosaur threat framework becomes a species table.
  2. Actual weapon names, damage, and prices — the weapon role list becomes a gun list.
  3. Measured loot yields per biome — the best biome ranking becomes an expected-value table.

Until then, treat these pages as the strategy layer: the part of tier-list thinking that survives contact with the numbers. For the fundamentals underneath all of it, start with the extraction loop and the beginner guide.
